A. What is Video Popcorn?
Q. Hey, wait a second, something's wrong. Our intials are screwed up.

Q. Is that better?
A. Yes.

Q. So, what is it?
A. Oh. Well, Video Popcorn is a series of comedic videotapes.

Q. What, like stand-up or sketches?
A. No, not really. We don't think the world needs yet another stand-up show, besides, we don't have a brick wall to stand in front of. Our show is different than most of what others offer.

Q. Oh, Really?
A. Yeah, what's it to you?

Q. How come you're not on tv then?
A. Well, the tv studios are run by lawyers, who won't allow the production executives to receive "unsolicited material." Which means, if the executives don't know about a show or concept from friends, relatives, or agents, it won't be seen, even if it's highly creative and entertaining.

Q. Are you serious?
A. Yep.

Q. How do they know what to solicit? Do they have rooms full of psychics saying things like "somebody in Detroit just thought up an incredible new show, better solicit it. And I see Mike Tyson joining a monastery"?
A. Apparently. More likely, someone has a contact at the studio, and attempts to pitch the show one on one.

Q. So, mostly hacks and friends of hacks get solicited. I guess that would also include any has-been hanging around the studio. Is that why there's so much crap on tv?
A. Yep.

Q. And how does somebody with real talent and originality get solicited?
